About Us

Akanke, an Atlanta native raised in a non-religious family, embraced Islam in her late twenties after an unexpected introduction to the faith. While training as a television producer, she worked on a live show featuring Muslim guests and was drawn to the insightful discussions about Islam. Encouraged by her colleagues, she attended Friday prayers and read the Quran, ultimately finding deep inspiration that solidified her decision to convert to Islam. This transformative experience sparked a lifelong passion for spirituality and personal growth rooted in her faith.

A multi-talented individual, Akanke holds a Communication degree from Georgia State University with a focus on film, television, and anthropology. Her career spans roles as a television and radio producer, certified life and nutrition coach, voiceover artist, and abstract painter. During a decade in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, she honed her public speaking and leadership skills, mentoring women through two women-only Toastmasters clubs. Above all, she emphasizes spirituality as the foundation for self-actualization, advocating for a life centered on devotion to Allah and the belief that personal growth and lasting success flow from a strong, loving relationship with Him.
